How does the free trial work?

Women are not on a trial at all. Women call free every time, with no clock running and nothing to buy.

For men, the first call comes with free trial minutes. That is enough to record a greeting, listen through a batch of introductions, and have a full conversation before you decide anything.

Is there a 60-minute free trial?

A lot of chat lines advertise 60 minutes because that is the number people search for. We would rather tell you exactly what you get and have it hold up when you call.

What matters more than the number is what happens at the end of it: nothing. The trial stops on its own, and you decide whether to buy time.

Is the Houston chat line 100 percent free?

For women, yes, with no qualifier. No trial window, no promotional period that quietly expires.

For men, the trial minutes are free, and time after that is paid. Any chat line telling men it is unconditionally free forever is either selling you something else or is not a real chat line.

Do I have to enter payment details to start?

No. Nothing is collected before or during the trial. You dial the number, and you are directly connected to the chat line.

If you later choose to buy time, that is a separate decision you make deliberately.

Will I get charged for something that renews on its own?

No. Time you buy is time you buy. There is no automatic subscription running quietly in the background, nothing that you need to remember to cancel. If you run out, you can buy more as and when you want.

Is this a local Houston number, or a national line?

832 is a Houston area code, and the callers you hear are weighted toward the metro rather than scattered across the country.

One number covers the whole area, so there is nothing separate to hunt down for your neighborhood.

Are the free 712 numbers the same thing?

No. The 712 numbers people pass around are open conference lines. Anyone anywhere can dial in. There is no local matching, no greeting system, and no moderation.

They are free because nothing is being run for you. That is a very different experience from a moderated local chat line.

Can I call from outside Houston?

Yes. The number works from anywhere in Texas and from out of state. You will still mostly hear Houston area callers, which is the point of a local chat line.

Who is on the chat line? Are the people real, or paid operators?

Real callers. No paid operators, no chat actors, no recorded voices and no scripts.

This is worth being direct about, because parts of this industry do use paid operators. If a chat line will not answer this question plainly, treat that as the answer.

Who will I be talking to?

Do I need an app or an account?

Neither. Any phone that makes calls will work, including a landline or an old prepaid handset. There is nothing to download, no password, and no profile.

Do I have to create a profile or upload a photo?

No. Your voice greeting is your whole introduction. There is no bio to write and no photo for anyone to browse.

Do I have to be 18?

Yes. This is an adult service, without exception. By calling, you are confirming that you are at least 18 years old.

Safety

How long should my greeting be?

Twenty to thirty seconds is plenty. Say your first name, say what you want to talk about, and stop. Long greetings tend to get skipped.

You can re-record it any time you like.

What if someone makes me uncomfortable?

Press 8 during the call to block them, which stops them from reaching you again. Press 8 a second time to flag them to a moderator.

You never have to stay in a conversation you want out of, and you do not owe anyone a reason for leaving it.

When can I call?

Any hour. The chat line is live 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Evenings are the busiest stretch, so that is when you will have the most greetings to listen through.
